Found Mystery Vibration/Noise....Now What To Do

I rarely noticed a high frequency noise in the 2017 SL450 with the roof up since I play the radio loud but this morning I found the perfect road surface to crank the noise up and it is in the sun shade in the roof. Sounds like a high frequency vibration type noise. Rolling the shade rearward all the way tones it down some but it is still there randomly. I can stick my fingers between the rear roof plastic and screen and there is a loose metal roller that can be manipulated up and down quite easily. Anyone else have this problem or a fix? Thanks....

We had a vibration related noise that was generated by proximity between the plastic roof panel and the roof hinge just above the driver's head to the left side. We could mitigate the sound by grabbing the roof panel and manipulating it downward, either at the junction with the rolling roof screen, or at the hinge point. Ultimately I used a rasp and took off the offending, very small, area of plastic next to the hinge and the noise has disappeared. Don't know if that is what you have, but that was my experience. Happy hunting!
