Chris, That car looks fantastic, what a difference the update makes. I located the headlight harness, coding I can handle, I have an SDS. Love the steering wheel.
Facelifted my 2013 to a 17 and up SL63. Head lights were a nightmare. Finally came up with a solution. After installing a cable converter kit from Germany for the new lights and nothing worked. My dealer had a 2020 on the lot. They were nice enough to take my lights and install them in their car and program them. Put them back in my 13 and they work.
Just wanted anyone struggling with this to know its possible.

Of course..But I mean they where coded on another car. So sounds like it was all coded for that car and vin. So it is kind of wierd it worked. Especially for a non facelift. But great that it did. Never seen that way work before.

usinf Xentry it doesn’t matter as the code changes all that. Biggest thing is you need to code before removing existing headlights then adding the new code. It’s not an issue unless you don’t have Xentry or access to one. Just like doing engine swaps, auto to manual trans swap, etc

Why don't you re-read this thread to see if you can find some help. Also you may want to provide some more detail of your project. All headlights must be coded to the car starting with model year 2014 in addition to the cable conversion kit. The exclusion was the 2013 (US model year)

Thanks for the suggestion but I have read through the thread and do not need help with anything other than where to buy the adapter cables. Hopefully someone can share this with me.
Here is where I bought the harness in Germany.
The lights will need to be coded. I do a lot of business with my local dealer. They were willing to install my lights into a 2017 and program them. Then I installed into my vehicle.
