SL/R231: Pre safe functions unavailable

Pre safe functions unavailable
Hi all
i have a 2013 sl550 that gives me the message
pre safe functions currently limited
then says blind spot and distronic not available
it randomly happens once every 5-10 runs. Lasts about 10 minutes then it goes back to normal
2 dealers do not know what’s causing it and now they tell me a software upgrade may correct it but my cpo warranty may not cover the update
im totally frustrated considering it’s safety feature related
thiughts ? What do I do to resolve it?
also another problem is I get data unavailable when trying to run the menace apps on the command system. I have activated mbrace. Now the dealer is telling me I may need to additionally pay them to reset to change from previous owner but they don’t know if that’s the cause.
