My car was built a day or two ago, right on time. The dealer says it is at the port awaiting shipment. Below is the confirmation. I have left off the P.O. Number and VIN. Looking forward to it!

Thats the Occupant Ejection Seat. If I ever classify an occupant as boring, I just hit the button and it’s adios! Actually, I have no idea what many of those codes mean, but I wish I were able to eliminate a few, such as BO3, R66, 301 and 415.

MY17 SL63 AMG
Streamliner - Congrats on the Build ... exciting times ahead !
My story is my wife and I were at the dealership with her GLS450 and we spent time on the Showroom Floor. A new Polar White SL63AMG with the night package was on the turntable ... looking gorgeous. When we left, she told me "I want you to have it" ... I replied, did you see the price ?? She said, well find a CPO. Well, 1 month later, last week, I took delivery of a CPO MY17 Sl63AMG, Polar White, Porcelain w? black Nappa and Aluminum trim w/light carbon. She has the Magic Sky and the 2-Stage Suspension. Easily the finest vehicle I have ever owned. I was driving an E Cabriolet prior ... so what an upgrade!
Thanks to all who Post on this 231 Forum, I used the commentary substantially when sorting our my "must haves" ... looking forward to years of amazing ownership.

To tell the truth, and this will pour gasoline on the fire of those here who already think I am crazy , this past week, I was seriously looking at 2017 SL65’s. I almost went for one, until I found out that its history was somewhat shady. If I’m going to go over the edge on something like that, I don’t want any “stories,” right? Anyway, have decided to take delivery of my little SL450, see how I like it and then keep my eye out for the perfect SL65–maybe! Maybe I’ll love the 450 and that would be great as well.
Enjoy that gorgeous SL63!

Only Wolfman knows my trials and tribulations regarding this car and I thank him for his ever helpful advice and his wealth of information.
Sometime, after I ordered this car, I found myself drawn to photos of the 2017 SL65 AMG, as shown below. At just past the very last minute, I tried to get the color changed to Brilliant Blue, with the idea that I would try to recreate this beautiful, blue car, but with six fewer cylinders. However, I was too late and the color change could not be made. Today, I am happy that I missed changing the color, as I like this car, pretty much just as it is. The fact of the matter is, that the Brilliant Blue is actually quite a bit darker than as shown in this photo.
To go a bit further with the story, I had asked the dealer to put the factory 18” 5-spoke, wheels on the car. As on previous cars, I thought this would be no big deal, but with various laws, restrictions and other potential problems down the line, they refused. They said they informed me of this back in January, but I have no record of ever receiving such an email. Based on this, I told the dealer, yesterday, that I did not want the car. This morning, sanity returned and I told them to write it up.
I may look into adding some SL65 chrome trim and I may even pop for a set of the beautiful, forged wheels. However, for the time being, I will just enjoy her as she is.
Thanks to all who have commented, much appreciated.

The most beautiful SL to me- the wheels (20" rear) and chrome trim on the black just make this so much better than the "norm". And I am not a big black car fan but dam this is Mercedes Class.

lol, my daughter had been naming her cars; I think she initially dubbed the ML350 "Sadie", as in Mer-Sadie's, but I haven't heard her use it of late. The guy that bought my CLK550 was refering to it as "she", which seemed odd to my ear. My car is a nameless "it"!
