Thanks for the help. Did a search and I didn't find anything. For 2 straight days i started up my car and drove about 5 miles. After sitting for an hour on restart the shifter would not shift out of park. I turned the ignition off then back on and on restart goes into gear. From what I found on older models it could be a low battery or brake solenoid. Anyone else experience this issue? Thanks again.
Did you figure out your problem? My shifter just died on me today. No lights on shifter itself. It didnt go to D or Park or didnt respond to any changes of gear. I turned off the car and it was stuck in neutral. Then was playing around with it for like 20 minutes and it started working again. Now it seems to be working. No errors except distronic plus malfunction
