SL/R231: center console right-side door not opening...

center console right-side door not opening...
I swear I recently read about this happening to someone else on this forum but I must've imagined it as no amount of searching has produced the thread. Still under warranty so I won't even try to fix it myself but anyone else ever have the issue? Pushing the button only opens the left side, and if I open the right side manually it doesn't stay fully open....

That was probably my post, happened on my 2017. Under warranty MB replaced the whole top of the center unit including both long doors. Service guy said springs were impossible to replace so it warranted a whole top unit.

I can't believe I still can't find the post, even searching all your posts back for months. I did find posts of yours in which you tell people to stop reviving ancient threads so it's probably better off I didn't God only knows how far back I was reading when I saw it....

when I first joined these forums about 15 years ago (W202 Forum) the most common answers that a Newbie's post would get was RTFM or STFF, so I learned to search, search, search, and revived many old threads. This time I searched multiple forums with "console" "doors" "springs" and more and couldn't find it anywhere. luckily I'm still under warranty.
