While driving our SL last week on hilly, curvy mountain roads in western NC with the top down we could hear strange engine sounds when letting off the gas and then accelerating. For those with the V6 engine are the turbos the source of any noises? Sorry I don't have an audio clip.

I have an appointment later this week at my dealer for a test drive but wanted to be educated beforehand. Thanks for any info.

I can sometimes hear my SL550 spool up and down the turbos which makes a nice turbo whistle sound.
