SL/R231: OK to lift rear of 231 at the differential ?

OK to lift rear of 231 at the differential ?
Need to know if OK to lift rear of 231 at the differential ?

I want to install hub-centric wheel spacers and want to put jack stands under the rear L & R jack points while I work or rears so would be great if I can raise rear from center under the differential .

Is this OK ?

Do not lift your SL using the differential as this can cause leaks or even damage.

SL550
It's much safer to just lift it from the jack points. As stated above, it could damage the diff or cause leaks. Just take some more time and do it the safe way.
