I have a new mistress

I had my first mistress when I was 18. Actually, she wasn’t really a mistress. She was an older woman with lovely curves and a surprising nimbleness I would have expected in a woman of half her age. We spent two fun filled years together before she passed away in an accident.

Apparently, I have a thing for older woman as I had another relationship with a woman my senior (in fact, two at the same time) some ten years later when I was married to my first wife. It was one of those torrid affairs where juggling three women is as exciting as it is exhausting. The fact that two of them were European (German) added spice (not to mention financial demands). They were not sisters, but grew up in the same town and, so, were complimentary. Their taste was more refined than my wife’s. They enjoyed a slow afternoon spin followed by a long cooling off where my wife’s appetite leaned towards the fast and sporty. Despite the difference in age and temperament, my affair with the two lovely damsels lasted ten years before they returned to live in Europe.

I remarried at age 42. My wife, the saint that she is, realized after eighteen years of marriage that I couldn’t be satisfied with just one woman. She encouraged me to take a mistress and allowed that she might live in accommodations on our farm. So, six years ago, at age 60, I took another mistress. Where my first three dalliances had been with older women, this one was a young sporty vixen of an athletic persuasion who, while quite good looking , had a penchant for adornments of an economical nature. If I was comfortable wearing a Patek Phillipe watch, she would have been happy to wear a Rolex. However, we did share a surprising passion for luxuriating in bubble baths. Often, after energetic sessions of afternoon delight, we would have a soothing cleanse in a mass of bubbles.

Sadly, three years later she was gone. While I lamented our parting, I soon found another willing partner. Oddly enough, she, too, was a gal of Tutonic decent. It seemed that my Alpha type personality had found a match in women of capable and energetic disposition draped in an elegant figure of subtle curve. Her taste was more refined than my last mistress. She was more of a Hermes gal than a Rolex gal, but this didn’t stop her from enjoying a four hour round trip for a picnic in the woods of West Virginia with my wife. Yes, the three of us often took road trips together. We enjoyed each other’s company although I was the one who enjoyed my mistress in the bubbles. My wife prefers a shower.

Despite my obvious pleasure over the last six and a half years, I have had a hankering for a gal who, along with my wife, would remain a constant. As I approach 67 years of age, I long for a mistress who will grow old with me. My wife agrees. But, where she is hoping for a solid sturdy kind of gal (one who might wear sensible shoes rather than stilettos), I was thinking sexy and classic…..think Lauren Bacall’s whistle scene in “To Have and Have Not.” I dated a sultry Italian, a sophisticated Brit, a luscious Swede, a flashy American, but I settled, once again, on a gal from Deutschland. My wife wanted sensible and reliable. I wanted spirited, sexy and elegant. We compromised and I am pleased to report that my new mistress arrived the other day. She took up residence and immediately showed her ability to not only look elegant and refined, but also displayed impeccable manners , thus pleasing my wife who is a stickler for such things. No woman wants to admit that another is her equal in looks, but my wife noted with wry satisfaction that she did, indeed, have a shapely figure and lovely eyes. Happy wife, happy life.

I usually give my mistresses a nickname….a pet name of affection and endearment. It’s a bit early in our relationship, perhaps. Until I’m inspired she will just be the SL 450 which captured my imagination and titillated my fantasies.

Give your new SL 450 'mistress' a 'bubble bath' as often as you want, but don't mess around with her 'tail pipe'...

Although not a nickname .... consider "Marlene" (Dietrich) .... seems to fit well ...
ENJOY the new ride

Sorry for the delay in posting pics. I got overwhelmed by a purge and move out of our house where we lived for 18 years.
I was going to switch out the wheels and tires a la Streamliner, but my wife likes the wheels (and that saves some $$ for her to spend on Manolo Bhlahnik shoes). Additionally, the dark barrels hide brake dust. And, yes, i switched out the OEM pads with Portefield pads which helped a bit. I'll wait till the tires need replacement to get NRF's.
Absolutely love the car despite the drawbacks we've discussed for years and have absolutely no interest in the next gen SL.

Thanks Wolfman (and you, too, Streamliner) for the compliment.
Wolfman, the color combo should feel familiar. You were the inspiration for it. When I couldn't get Mercedes Manufaktur in Georgia to customize my SL in quilted (like the SL65) Silk Beige and Black (....instead of Espresso Brown. Sorry Streamliner. I know how much you like your color combo), I decided to save myself $14K and go with your color combo (Porcelain/Black). The sales team at my dealership in Arlington, VA thought I was crazy and asked me not once, but twice, if I was sure I wanted A silver car with a white interior. When the car came in, the sales team and many of the customers who saw it said they wouldn't have believed it could look so elegant without seeing it in the flesh. I know that the traditional combo for silver is red, but I had red in my last car (black exterior) and wanted to do something different. I'm not disappointed. I happen to be a fan of art deco style and this color combination satisfies that palate. And, to seal the deal, my wife loves it.
