Seat balance
I was playing with the seats in our 2016 SL400 yesterday and stumbled upon BALANCE in the seat menu. I checked the manual but it referenced the digital manual which I have not been able to access yet. So I have two questions. What is this Balance? And how do I watch the Digital Manual? It does not play on my computer nor my home entertainment system DVD player. Am I supposed to play it in my car on the DVD/CD player?

Seat Balance
Mine's a 2013 and it's been a while since I used the digital manual, but IIRC the DVD provides a digital, searchable manual rather than a video that you watch. Put the DVD in the car's player and I think you can then call it up through COMAND and voice.
For the seat's balance control, which I don't think I've ever used -
Select Balance by turning the COMAND controller and press to confirm.
A scale appears and shows the current setting. Positive values indicate the heat output for the seat backrest, negative values indicate the heat output for the seat cushion. The intensity is indicated by an
orange bar in the stylized seat above the scale.
The values stand for:
0 - backrest and seat cushion are heated equally to the maximum level
1 to 3 - the heat output to the seat cushion is reduced in one-third increments
-1 to -3 - the heat output to the backrest is reduced in one-third increments
I think you can also find a searchable text version of the operators manual on the internet.
