Over 1500 miles on a new car so this one will not be a creampuff. No wood steering wheel either (due to the black piano trim)...This will have to take a heavy discount to move...

DRIVER ASSISTANCE PACKAGE -inc: PRE-SAFE PLUS, Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Steering Assist, Cross-Traffic Assist, PRE-SAFE Brake, BAS PLUS, Active Brake Assist w/Cross-Traffic Function, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Speed Limit Assist : DA2
ACTIVE BODY CONTROL (ABC) -inc: CURVE function : 487
WHEEL LOCKING BOLTS : D07
MAGIC SKY CONTROL : 412
BANG & OLUFSEN BEOSOUND PREMIUM SOUND SYSTEM : 811
DINAMICA HEADLINER BLACK : 61U
BLACK RUBBER ALL-SEASON FRONT FLOORMATS : D33-0
ILLUMINATED DOOR SILLS : U25

I'm a terrible forecaster, but I foresee this car (surely a custom order, dealer already managed to put 1500 miles on it) to be sold at a deep discount down the road.

Probably a special order that someone canceled. The real problem with the car is that some of the high dollar options are of little interest to many, such as the B&O & MagicSky. It’s going to be an expensive car, even with a big discount.

Nor can they be removed from a 550...which is why many of us purposely overlooked the 550.

Well, crap. I posted this after reading threeMBs' post way back up the thread, before all the vitriol broke loose. Sorry...

Someone here (possibly you) posted a link to a 2020 450 at a dealership in CA when I was still looking for a 450 with ABC. It was the same kind of deal: pretty much every option. It had about $10k more in options than I was interested in. That car finally ended my interest in buying new, and I ended up saving around $40k in the end...which, oddly, didn't bother me one bit.

Yes, I think I remember that, a Designo Diamond White car at Fletcher Jones. Probably another special order cancellation. Anyway, as long as you are happy with your car, not much of anything else matters. Hope you are enjoying it. Great fall days, perfect for top down motoring, are just around the corner!

On a side note, I sort of got caught in the same predicament with an E Class wagon. Don’t ask me why, but I just wanted one and was planning to wait for the 2021 face lift to order it. Lo and behold, MB totally screws up the look of the Luxury trim (traditional grille) E Class models, which probably led to MBUSA deciding to not import ANY Luxury trim E Class models starting in 2021 and to not import ANY basic E Class wagons for 2021, only a homely looking “All Terrain” model. Well, the order books were already closed on the 2020’s when this news broke, so I started my search for a used wagon. I was searching nationwide, when a wagon that was virtually identical to my dream wagon showed up at a BMW dealer, just down the street from my home! It was just meant to be. Absolutely nothing wrong with the right used car. Should anyone be interested, I posted the story here:

Lovely car - do you find any trouble keeping a light steering wheel clean?

Have not had it that long, but so far, no problem, especially with my wife driving it.

Not to stir the pot here, but this 550 was still on the lot as of yesterday afternoon. Price now $98k.

Someone is going to get a good deal . . . My experience with Larson is that they will make a deal to move inventory. If you want a white ABC equipped CPO SL550, it might be worth a call or email.

Full disclosure - I am not a fan of their MB service team. But their sales team gets deals done. Ironically - neither of my MB came through them. However my Audi’s and my moms VW all came through them at solid discounts.
