SL/R231: Warranty Extension

Warranty Extension
I purchased a 2 year extension of the CPO warranty shortly after I bought my SL. Does anyone know if Mercedes offers any additional years of coverage. At the rate I am going I will probably have about 33K miles on my SL when the 2 year extension expires. I am NOT interested in any third party warranties as I have been burned in the past. Thanks.

Wish I had read your displeasure of third party warranty companies prior.
I made the biggest mistake by doing so. I did my homework and the after market dealer warranty company that stood out was CARCHEX.
So with the (more than likely false) reviews, I purchased an additional 2 years. BIG MISTAKE.
I asked 100 questions to the agent prior to purchasing and was convinced I was good.
To date: 2 claims and 2 claims denied (Fortunately for me the "pre existing condition" is not going to work. I have the Michigan Attorney General now proceeding with an inquire as The Attorney General in MA where they are located now doing an investigation as well.
So to all my Mercedes Benz family, if you enlisted in an extended warranty from CARCHEX aka Royal Administrative Services and had the same experiences as I have, I would greatly appreciate you sharing those concerns.

I know this is old but I have a 2013 SL 63 AMG that I bought at 6k miles and now have 36k miles on it. I bought a 3rd party warranty through the dealer that I bought it from ( friend of mine runs a non Mercedes dealership but the same company owns 2 Mercedes dealerships) the company I bought was Fidelity extended warranty I can say they have been great. They have paid for 8k worth of repairs so far. Cracked rim ( which I was shocked) engine and transmission mounts, some wires that needed to be changed, wheel speed sensors, ABC pulsation thingy, trunk springs and a couple other items. I have been very happy with them.

How well I know. I was burned badly when Warranty Gold went belly up. Had 2 vehicles with WG plans. Participated in a class action and did recover about half of my money. I'm going to self insure the SL if I keep it after the CPO expires. Seems all the 3rd party companies are questionable. Thanks for reminding me.
