PHOTOS: Snow White, Polar White, Diamond White Metallic
Here are two photos of my CLS53 (Polar White) and SL550 (Diamond White Metallic) against fresh pure white snow. The first photo is in full sunlight, the second with overcast sky. I thought Polar White would be "as white as the driven snow" -- but not quite. The Diamond White Metallic is even more yellow. Please forgive the aftermarket wheels and snow tires on the SL. The wheels were leftover and salvaged from my 2010 GLK days and only in an emergency will I run the SL in the snow.

I love that braving snow covered roads in order to be able to post the subtle differences in the shades of white for all of us fellow MB members qualifies as an “emergency” worth taking out the SL for.

PW obviously shows whiter than DWM here. Interesting, as my '17 Polar White SL is sitting in my garage next to my '17 Summit White Chevy Volt and it looks just like the comparison you have here...except that the Volt is the whiter of the two cars. Even Polar White is not a true "white". And neither is Summit White, for that matter. The whitest white that I'm aware of currently is White Knuckle, which is a Dodge color. There may be others that are even whiter...
