SL/R231: TPMS warning

You can buy these cheap online and have a tire shop do it or you can go to the dealer to have them do it.
Dealer will likely charge a couple hundred bucks for parts and labor (call first). The only benefit of using a dealer is the guarantee that the next sensor will work. They normally register automatically after a few minutes driving but I have had issues where the number had to be entered manually. That requires the proper software. Also if the TPMS is not good, they will swap it.

I try as much as possible to deal with a local independent who specializes in BMW and MB rather than go to the dealer. Unfortunately he is getting near retirement age and after that I am screwed. He charges less and has a stellar reputation.

I'd go with the Schrader, though I'm sure the others are probably fine as well...
