Frustrated of UK

Hi folks...I came across this forum over Christmas and I'm posting a few pics of my beauty (if I've done it correctly)

I bought this one new last year, March 2020. Kept me sane, and more importantly, our 18

yo daughter. Spent April to July last year doing essential journeys with the top down. Temperature is freezing here, which I know to some of you over the water will seem petty at -2c...but its surprising how the car stays warm with the top down.

Had many previous toys...mostly BMW M cars....finishing up with an M4 Competition Pack and a speeding ticket just before I swapped it. I had to grow up at some time.

My wife particularly likes the shade of blue. The last BMW was in San Marino Blue, an amazing colour. But then the colour offers from BMW are incredible.

My wife and I were going to drive to the Italian lakes last year while our daughter was on holiday but recent world events precluded that. Instead we managed to drive to Spain in The Range Rover with her and her boyfriend...anything for an easy life. So we'll see what happens this summer.

Best to all of you.

Beautiful car other than they cocked up the location of the steering wheel. Enjoy!

Super nice color. Enjoy the top down even in the cold as long as you keep the speed down , windows and blocker up, neck warmers on and you’ll be fine (easy for me to say living in South Florida)

I have also driven on the 'right' side of the road since i was 17...strangely the only times I have had a problem thinking what side of the road I should be on is when I return to the UK. Prefer driving anywhere in Europe to the crowded South East of England and London...
Germany, France, Spain, Italy etc. If you can drive around Sicily and Palermo without a problem you're ok elsewhere. You just adapt to local conditions..in Italy that means overtaking the car that's doing the overtaking.

Yes...any excuse. Freezing outside, in a warm cocoon inside.

Envy your climate...is it quite humid?

I have driven in Ireland in a LHD car. My first roundabout was good fun.... Quite enjoyed getting close to the hedgerows at high speed. Always had to remind myself to look right before stepping off of the curb...I imagine more Yanks get taken out that way.

Stunning SL , the wheels look great , but they're kerb magnets and vulnerable to the white worm...

Thanks...yes, ythey look quite distinctive. We preferred them over the multi ‘finned’ wheels that come with the night pack. And they are straightforward to clean.

They have been coated with Gtechnic Wheel Armour, however nothing will ultimately stop stone chips breaking the lacquer coat. But that is more of an issue with a daily driver....ultimately if it goes bad a powder/paint coat is an alternative. But nothing like white worm has appeared on our previous cars The R Rovers wheels don’t have a lacquer coat....and my wife has never kerbed them!

I've lived in a lot of very humid locations (Brisbane Australia, Tokyo, New Orleans etc . I'll take high humidity any time over freezing my nuts off (looking out the window where the wind is blowing and it is 1C).
