Do you have an extended warranty through MB, or are you talking about a Vehicle Service Contract (often mistakenly referred to as an "extended warranty")? I would check the fine print of the agreement. A blown hose is not the same as a defective part.
A new hose is about $120 from the dealer, but a $7 clamp works just as well. Since you haven't drained all the coolant from the engine, you should be able to just refill though the expansion tank.
Was the windshield damaged? Your comprehensive auto insurance should cover glass.
