Oil Choice?

For those SL owners that do not go to the dealer for routine maintenance, what brand and weight oil are you using? I know several brands have a "Europe" oil that I think is 0W40. I'm thinking about using it as I live in the midAtlantic where it can get close to 100 degrees in the summer and down in the teens in the winter.

I’m under warranty but do my own oil changes. Dealer oil changes are not required to maintain warranty; however, I buy the dealer recommended oil and filter as the cost is comparable to non-OEM.
Here’s a ton of oil/fluid info from MB that may help with your decision.
Mercedes-Benz operating fluid regulations- engine oil, gear oil, ATF, coolant, brake fluids

Just checking again as I am taking my car to a local Indy garage and he said I can bring whatever oil I choose. Planning to use Mobil 1 0w40 European formula. I am guessing this is what the sticker on our cars is suggesting.
