If so, the OEM part # is appreciated. I see some blacked out tips OEM for SL65, but wondering if there is chrome alternative for the regular SL550/400.

Real AMG quad pipes are wider and require a different diffuser as well.

thatd be my tread.

there is a stick on type chrome tip on ebay ,below is the link if you just want the looks of quadish setup.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Stainless-E...-127632-2357-0

what i did was proper quad tips with diffuser which was obviously more costly but for me it was worth every penny

Yeah, I did the OEM AMG quad tip/diffuser conversion on my R-class W251 (the AMG tips were over a $1k - labor myself), but thought I just buy this:

Maybe I'll go OEM. Could you list the parts # you used? I remember on my R-class I had to melt the inner tips on the diffuser to fuse with the bumper - is this required for the R231 diffuser? Any advise on the conversion is appreciated.

Thanks.

This is the OEM AMG conversion on my R-class W251. Way better than the standard dual ovals.

The new style rectangular tips on most modern cars are too ugly...
