Don’t know that it makes much difference but I leave the top up to keep any dust and critters out during the winter.

I cannot think of any scenario where I would leave the top down even for one night, inside or a cover on the car. Do folks up North storing their hard top cars leave the windows open all Winter?

Roof up of course! Ideally in a warm and dry garage. Definitely get a trickle charger for the battery (like CTEK) and you could some cheap tire ramps to avoid flat spots although we have never done this or had issues with it. I'd just start the car every other month for a few minutes. No need for any engine or fuel prep IMO

My car's top only goes up to wash it. Then it's dry and drop. Maybe over the winter I will occasionally drive it with the top up.

Thanks for your comments. The reason I ask is because of limited access in my garage, it's easier getting in and out of the car with the top down.

Since of lot of garages in Europe are smaller and have no climate control you might want to consider keeping the top up even if space is tight. Moisture, critters, etc. will not be kind to the leather interior...

Agree with you about the size of European garages, UK car insurers are now deeming them "not fit for purpose".
I do use a car cover to keep the dust off and fortunately we are less prone to critters.
Raising the roof via the remote control is not a problem but will that not lead to condensation issues in an unheated garage.
