Hello all,
I just had the A1 service reminder pop up in my car. I don't drive it that much (put most of the miles on the GLE). So I have two questions:

- Is the service reminder based on miles driven or time between service?
- If it's time between service, does the servicer really need to be done or can it wait (oil change etc)?

The service also needs to be performed when indicated as both the warranty eligibility and lease terms (if leased) require it.

Just to be sure, removing the reminder message doesn't address the OP question. If the OP's car is out of warranty it doesn't matter as a mileage-based reminder suffices but if not, doing the service is crucial to maintain warranty status...

FYI, we get free A-Service coupons from our dealer all the time. You might want to check your dealers for A-Service specials. If not eligible, call another dealer and see if they match the coupon
