Parts Source?

The thread about the heater core part has me thinking about parts sources. I have been using FCPEuro since I bought my SL which is my first Mercedes after many years of owning BMWs. I quickly found out that my local dealer is very expensive compared to several online parts suppliers. I am curious about which vendor or site other SL owners use for parts. FCPEuro advertises a lifetime warranty on all of their parts. It's hard to believe and I have never tried to use it. Can't believe anyone would ship a used oil filter back and claim it failed and they want a new replacement, LOL. The recent link posted by JettaRed appears to be another competitive site for genuine MB parts.

My "first choice" suppliers are:

https://www.fcpeuro.com
https://www.ecstuning.com
https://www.rockauto.com

BTW, the FCP Euro lifetime replacement is not just for failed parts, but any used part. You do have to pay shipping to return "used" parts for replacement, but otherwise they will cover all the costs.

The way it works is you buy a part initially. When it needs replacement, you buy the new part and when you send the old part back, they refund the money. While I wouldn't do that for oil filters, I could. For me, the Aquaman Magic Vision Wiper Blades are the ones I will claim since they are $160 per set! 😳

I too find those tempting; are they simple enough to DIY swap out?

Yes. Their boxes are marked for driver and passenger side. There is a video showing how. I think there is a QR code on or in the box to the video. Here it is:
