Will Probably Sell My AMG Wheels.
My wife had a knee replacement operation. The SL sits so low that it hurts her every time she gets in and out of the car.
We had a little hairline crack in one of the SL AMG wheels. I had to air the tire up every 2-3 days. I thought it was my tire. Took it to the shop and it was a short small hairline crack in the wheel toward the edge. They wanted to weld it. I thought it over and decided not to. I kept the stock size SL AMG wheels. I have all four stock AMG wheels. I am going to sell them. We are trading the SL. I hate it, but life goes on. We are trading it as it sits w/o the AMG wheels. So I will sell the factory wheels...all four.

Yes. I typed this on my phone .... small keys and fat fingers.... but yes....AMG. My bad. I don't luke typing on my phine anywy... LOL...
They are in boxes and not easily accessible right now. Other than being dirty, they are what you would expect. I can post pictures when I can get to it in the next day or two. They are boxed up in storage building. They are the typical AMG wheels these cars had when new.
I had planned on keeping an extra tire on one for a spare, but I never got around to it.

Is the SL your only vehicle? Unless it is I am a bit confused as to why you would sell due to the health issues of your wife? I know you love your SL, so there has to be more......I am thinking that you and your wife could simply do outings in her vehicle and you have the SL for your pleasure? Just trying to understand whats going on. I too am married, and have been for hundreds of years it seems lol. I have the SL and my wife has her GLK. I, nor my wife would care if she couldn't get into my car, because we would just use her SUV to go out together.

Which rims are you selling? Are they the 5 spoke or the 14 spoke AMG rims and what year vehicle did the rims come off of? I just read in your Avatar that it's off a 2017 450SL so I'm assuming they are the 14 spoke....

Life goes on. I am not going to own something that hurts her to get in and out. We took it into the mountains for 7 days to watch the leaves turn and drive twisty roads..... it hurt her every day on the knee that had surgery - it just sits so low. I will miss the car - but it's a car...
We are buying a brand new Mercedes convertible to replace it. Also, the extended MB warranty was running out. I am not going to own it without warranty from MB. When we got back from Florida, it would be close to expiring. I will miss the car.
