Soft Close Problem
Hi,
Has anyone had problems with the soft close doors on their R231. My driver door (RH) as in the UK has stopped working. It makes all the correct motor noises at the right times, however the door doesn't move. I know they systems are purely electric unlike the earlier pneumatic systems. I read earlier that someone had a snapped cable on a GLS system.

Same here. I didn’t even know I had soft-close until one day the passenger door did it. Surprised the heck out of me. The driver door remains resolutely “normal close”. I haven’t worried about it.
(I am the 2nd owner so I presume the driver side soft close exited stage right at some point during the PO’s tenure and was never fixed.)
