Some coding for some cool features , here they are
I have owned my 14 sl550 for about 3 years and one thing that bothered me the most was that the car starting in eco mode engine and transmission settings.
During the time i owned my car i never drove it other than sport mode and everytime i started i had to press buttons to change both to sport mode which frustrated me deep inside.
I have done some digging and found a eco stop mode from ebay also enabling amg menu and transmission agility mode enabling ( agility mode was waste of funds)
but never found a solution for the transmission starting in E mode only till now. and the mods were somewhat pricey compared to this software solution.
So i would like to share my finds here to a great free software to use but pay for mods desired. Also you'll need an adapter and an internet connected windows pc . Not a macbook with windows VM ( had to find out the hard way)
I am sure some of you might have heard of this, also it might be popular in other forums on mbworld where owners mod a lot.
So you go to this link here below and enter your vin to see what can be coded to your car and their prices.

you register at mbtool and buy the mods you want & download this app to your laptop.
then you'll need this adapter to connect your laptop to your obd2 port . this is the one i use, some clone one. original is like $170 i think.

because i used a windows vm on my macbook i couldnt get mbtool software to communicate with tactrix adapter so i had to contact mbtool customer support via whatsapp.
he was very responsive and patient and after borrowing a friends laptop pc i was able to use the program.
i ran into an issue where i didnt know what to do again (my internet connection sucked & was causing an issue)(i think the program downloads the mods from its server to apply thats why)
i contacted to customer support again and he was helpful in a fast manner as well.
and now my car is MY way. very happy with the results.
