I bought a set of used wheels. Forgeline AL301s. 20 x 9.5 (ET 25) up front; 20 x 10 (ET 35) in the rear. The fronts are too wide for 245/35/20, so I tried 255/35/20. The 255/35/20 were too tall. Now, I'm thinking of trying 265/30/20 upfront. Otherwise, I'm going to ask the manufacturer to install a narrower barrel on the two front wheels. Anyone have experience with 265s up front? Also, I have not found the 20s to be harsh at all. In fact, they feel better to me.
What about a 255/30? 255/35 and 265/30 will be roughly the same height and I am not sure if there is enough room for a 265 width up front. Are you rubbing with the 255/35?
The stock AMG combination has 255/35/19 and 285/30/20. Front wheel diameter is 26" and the rear 26.7"
Right now you have 27.3" diameter in front which why this combo looks funky aka too large. You can go 265/30/20 and should have no issues with rubbing even if you decide to lower the car. I hope you are using 30' in the rear?
