Missing Park Sensor Cover

This morning noticed the passenger side sensor cover is gone. Any suggestions, aside from dealer, to replace?
I've looked at a few online parts sites like https://www.mbpartscenter.com/ but don't see this item.

Maybe I'm searching on the wrong term?

Would the missing cover be in this schematic?

Don't see mention of a lamp washer in the manual.

Will see what I can do.

Looks like PN

In illustration.

May need to paint depending on your color, as it appears many colors are discontinued.
Good Luck.

$103!!!

One thing for certain, we can thank Mercedes for keeping us flexible and limber in out old age as we are often required to touch our toes and grab out ankles!

Ok, so a hundred bucks for the part and maybe needing to get it color matched gives me pause.

It looks like their are tabs that should keep this thing in place. What would cause it to fall out? Anything that can be done to keep that expensive piece of plastic in place?

Wonder if it "fell out" into the hands of someone needing one once they saw the price tag.

Car wash could have ripped it out or someone grabbed it.
We had somebody steal the rear window wiper from our GLE twice; same happened with the the little rubber piece in the trailer hitch. Neither was worth taking a risk stealing...

Check Ebay. I have seen some (mostly right) covers there in the $25-$60 range... am sure the right one will pop up in time

Dang Car Wash!

I've always avoided the car washes, wife says I'm being cheap. Now I have proof they are evil!! She did take her baby (Sadie the SL as she calls it) to a car wash just before I noticed this.

Two silly questions:

1) The parts diagram lists right and left, it looks like the left side in the diagram is Passenger side for US models. Is that correct?
2) Online VIN decoder says I've got 040U BLACK paint not Obsidian Black - who woulda thunk there is a difference but in this case I do.

thanks all

Road debris, and parallel parking are also causes. I always check them regularly by pushing them in. I’ve felt them “click back in” on several cars including my own.

there’s a difference ☹️

They’re a little cheaper below ($85), but compare with shipping too

[Ken] I'm still puzzled how this is a "Headlight washer cover" if this part seems to snap in and is NOT designed to extend. But like women, healthcare, Nuclear Physics and other subjects sometimes I just accept what is said and move on.[/Ken]

[Ken] ordered from https://parts.mbofcovington.com/ - everyone seems to have the black for about the same price but insane shipping. MB of Covington only wanted $5 to ship. [/Ken]

The cover is like a drawbridge. It's pushed open by the headlight cleaning nozzle and then closes (spring loaded) when the nozzle retracts.

In the eBay illustration, the door is upside down.

I thought it was the cover for where the towing eye (there should be one in the boot) gets fitted!

The facelift model doesn't have them as they switched from Xenon to LED. If you look at the OP's pic, you can actually see the washer nozzle and the line...

I was unclear in my description. The facelift model doesn't have the lamp washers/covers anymore (left/right). The tow hook cover remains

For reference, our old pre-FL SL:

Grrrrr

Got the washer cover. It fits the space perfectly and color matches. However there must be a bracket or plate this cover is supposed to snap into as the new part falls off.

I'll take a ride to dealer or try to find a high end body shop.

I'm tempted to McGyver a fix with industrial Velcro.

use a hook to open the cover on the driver's side and compare the two. Pull out gently from the top
