Radar detector mounts
Hey Roadster owners!
We have a road trip coming up where I would like to take along my older Escort radar detector. Do any of you have a mounting solution for this? Pics are greatly appreciated!

Just make sure that the states you are crossing is OK with RD's. Also using Waze is very good for speed traps; just use that one via Apple CarPlay. Also keep in mind that older RD's may not work against modern radar guns...

Yep I have a 9500. I disabled x band but i think the other bands still work. I’m not in dire need of a detector but our road trip next month would be a great reason to at least use the one I have. I do understand waze however, it’s unpractical in not-so-urban areas and requires wireless service which isn’t available in much of the Smokey Mountains.
Anyway, I would really like a good mount without sticking it on the windscreen because I have film on my windshield I prefer not to destroy.
what detector and dash cam are you using?

Tinted windshield? I don’t know what mount to recommend besides windshield mounts. Don’t think mirror mounts will work, given the large windshield camera box.
You could still buy an updated mount from Escort instead of the flimsy stock one. The larger cup might be ok with the film.

We don’t have the SL anymore but we use Thinkware and BlackVue 4K dual channel cameras.
For RD’s, we use Redline 360c detectors
