SL r231 trunk cargo luggage net (mythology creature?)
Does anyone have a part number for the luggage compartment net and a picture of it installed? There is no knowledge about this part number from the net or the parts counter at Mercedes. Thanks in advance, & Happy Holidays, Mike

I have one I don't use (I think).
I'll look around the garage. BUT, there is nothing special about it. You may find a net to fit your trunk on Amazon. (I know I speak blasphemy.)

It may have been for my C-Class. Part number 2048680074.
I can check tomorrow if the net from my C-Class fits my R231. Wait, are there even tie-downs to hook the net onto?

Actually, I checked today and found that there are hooks for a net, unlike the D-ring style brackets in my C-Class.
I recommend measuring the distance between the plastic hooks in the floor of your trunk and just getting one off of Amazon. Something like this for $10:
