From one of a couple Motor Trend articles....

"Darth Vader would undoubtedly have this SL stationed at one of his evil lairs with the personalize plate "TRQV8DR" bolted on its butt."

Vanity plate from a Rolls Royce

When I lived in Los Angeles, a guy in a Rolls Royce would drive past my house on his way to work.
His vanity plate was a classic. When I moved out of state, I was able to get the same wording on my new plates.
2ND CAR.
I got notes on my windshield from people that didn't have a sense of humor.
They thought I was arrogant etc. Get over yourself!!
I've moved the plate from MBZ to MBZ through the years. It's now on my SL550.
I've removed it from the front bumper so the MBZ looks right again.

Yeah, I remembered that article, and saw "Torque V8 Doctor" as the plate. What I somehow never realized until recently to tie it together was that Torque Vateder also sounds like Darth Vader.

just joshing with you, I'm not a fan of many vanity plates either, although an occasional one will make me chuckle
Other people can have them. I just don't want them on my car. Call it OPSEC.
