Alternator fuse location? Is there one
Hello
My sl550 stalled and when I went to check the battery in the trunk the negative was loose. And when I loosened it and reseated it there was a bit of an arc and now my alternator isn’t charging.

is there a fuse just for the alternator? If so does anyone know the location?

Seems really strange -- how have you determined the alternator is not charging?

I jump starter the car
the car ran worse as the volts on the battery slowly fell to 9.0 and the car turned off again.

I jump starter the car
the car ran worse as the volts on the battery slowly fell to 9.0 and the car turned off again.

How old is your battery? Do you have a way to check its ability to hold a charge?

Well, that sounds like a bad alternator. Have you scanned for codes? The B95 Battery Sensor (BSN) may have been damaged. Though I'm not sure, but it sounds like it could keep the battery from charging. Best to scan for codes. (NOTE: While the below info is old, it probably is still useful.)
