Crankshaft Position Sensor

Hi, Can anyone enlighten me as to where the above sensor is located, bearing in mind that my car is right hand drive as I'm in the UK.

It should be toward the rear, near the flywheel. I don't know why that would be different on a RHD vs LHD car. What is your full engine designation? M276.XXX?

#74. It's called a Hall sensor, as well.

Here are the instructions for replacing the Crankshaft Position Sensor on my C350. Same engine.

Thanks for the reply's. Although I'm a little confused, the above photos show the sensor on the right hand side of the engine looking from the front. The text says to remove the steering joint but my car is RHD so steering joint is on the other side. I presume the diagram etc is for the USA i.e. LHD

I guess you just have to get a LHD car.

I’m pretty sure that the engines are built the same way. And it should be easier since your steering column is on the wrong side.
