Turn signal problem 2015. SL550

Need some please. My 2015 SL550 is telling me to check the right front turn signal. When I tuns the right signal on it clicks very fast and the from blinker does not come on.

Can someone tell me if the blinker is part of the headlight assembly or is it a separate piece that can be replaced. Thank for any help

EPC doesn't show a part for the turn signal lights.

The turn signals consists of three LED strips wired in series. If one strip fails all three go out. You cannot buy them independently but there are shops that dismantle the headlight and solder in a replacement LED. Cost is $1k for rebuilding, Autohaus used to sell complete replacements for $1.7k. A new assembly from MB, last time i looked was $2.3 k. These are parts only costs.

Jeeze louise, $1000. That is absolutely bonkers for a turn signal bulb repair parts cost. Mercedes at the very least could have put them in parallel.

Good info to know, though.

FYI I'm beginning to see a lot more failures of these headlights failing so good used units are going to be rare or scams . Essentially, replacements are going to start at $1700 and go up to $2400 NEW each. I've bought two used units to offset the problem.
