SL/R231: Trunk dimensions

Trunk dimensions
I’m considering purchasing an R231 series SL (2017 to 2020). Does anyone have good measurements of the trunk area (width, depth, & height)? I can only find the trunk volume quoted as cubic feet (8.5 ft3 or 13.5 ft3), but that doesn’t really help in determining what size luggage, golf clubs, or other items will or won’t fit.

As a golfer, I can fit two sets of clubs or my bag plus a cartek electric cart that folds fairly flat, with plenty of room left for small stuff. I can also fit two carry-on luggage bags in the trunk. For a sports car shaped body, the trunk is quite roomy. Grocery hauling is never a problem, it holds lots of bags. With top down, you are more limited, of course. I doubt any other car of this type has a larger trunk. My old C6 Corvette coupe, had a lot of storage in the hatchback area, but certainly was not nearly as nice of a car to drive and lacked the retractable hardtop.

Here is a specific answer to your question, albeit in metric dimensions:
With the roof down I can fit 3 cases, dimensions of 51 cm x 34.5 cm x 20 cm plus 2 rucksacks of 15 litres capacity (i.e. small). This leaves room for 2 small shopping bags for on-holiday purchases. If in France that means charcuterie and cheese, obviously. For the two of us we find that plenty for a one week trip.
