SL/R232: Mr AMG SL 63 First Drive

Of course it has more weight, but the extra torque makes up for it, that was at least my own personal experience when driving it.
For track days, the AMG GT might be better, but most people want to use it in every day life, and then the new AMG SL is a good proposition imho.

He mentioned that he doesn't like AMG GT roadsters but then also states that the SL doesn't have the light-footedness of that car. And this is exactly what I like about our AMG GTC roadster and the main concern I have about the new SL. I really started to appreciate the GTC as a nimble convertible and love the balance the front-mid engine/transaxle layout brings.
The new SL uses the standard AMG layout. 4Matic+, front engine, attached 9 speed MCT; very similar to a GT63s or our E63s but with new suspension tech.
Look forward to his follow-up but also driving the car when our dealers gets their 2 demo SL's...
