SL/R232: When will model year change to 23?

When will model year change to 23?
It used to be that around July/August model years would change, however, I get a sense that this may no longer be the case.
Can anyone please shed some light on that.

I don’t know how MB does these things any more. In the past it went with manufacture date.
All brands seemed to be a lot more rigid about model years, not sure if it was by regulation or mutual consensus, but that’s not the case any more.
I’ve had Porsches of one year delivered well into the next, and not due to supply chain or EPA delays. They were just built super late and got delivered as a previous year model.
And I got a 2023 Defender V8 delivered a month ago.
