BTW - discovered today that the 12v socket can't be used for the trickle charger. It can only be used for --- outgoing current.
The trickle charger must once again be hooked up to a +/- terminals in the engine compartment.
That clearly is a step back from the GT which has a 12v in the trunk that can be used for incoming and outgoing.

Yes, there is a battery in the trunk under the "cover" However, the place to put the trickle charger is in the front on the passenger side - you need to lift a small plastic cover for the + and there is "short exposed pole" for the ---.
