SL/R232: Disabling Augmented Display?

Disabling Augmented Display?
Anyone else find the augmented display to be useless and end up disabling it? It obscures the entire map and seems like when I'm trying to figure out what I'm supposed to do next shows me nothing useful (the arrows start off far off in the distance, and I obviously can't stare at the screen until I can actually tell what it's telling me). Seems to just be an unnecessary distraction, but maybe it's just me

The Augmented Reality is amazing if you have the Augmented HUD where the arrows just appear in front of you in the windshield. Unfortunately, the SL didn't seem to get that option like the S and EQS have.
Just tap the AR button on the screen that pops up. It will remember that setting and not appear again.
