Wiring Harness Recall
Anyone have the deets on the latest recall? My dealer is telling me that it’s super rare, but given the potential for a loss of power they recommend getting it done asap.
That said, he also said that they don’t have the approved remedy from MBUSA yet. So, I’m confused. I’m reading online that the fix is a simple cable tie to eliminate any risk of the harness touching the drive shaft.

Affected VINs were flagged Oct 13th. Customer letters go out Dec 5th.
Indeed, the fix is not published at this time. You can check with your dealer periodically to see when your vin is "Open" and maybe check here.
