2022 AMG SL63
Interesting upgrade possibility. But, I wish it was a regenerative approach like the E-Ray rather than a plug in. Can't have everything, but it diminishes its impact for me. Thinking more about the 2024 upgraded Aston Martin Vantage with some cosmetic design improvement, but a significantly better AMG engine output. Over 600 HP I understand.

PHEV's have tax benefits in Germany and other countries and the car is also recuperative, so it's the best of both worlds IMO. Would have been nice to see the charger door on the opposite side like the S63e and not on the bumper.
That said, the big news here is that the SL63e "only" weighs 4673 lbs. with fuel, which is only 450 lbs. more. I feared even worse, but it's a porker...

I have mixed feelings about the R232 for myriad reasons. I hope the various bugs are alleviated. I've been waiting to order the SL63E but I'm going to wait at least another year, hopefully MB will get it's act together. There was a 2022 SL63 that was a no sale on BAT this week......last bid was $118K. The car had 3200 miles. Recall some dealers were getting $25-50K over list. Not a car to flip!!!

It s a small battery, no big deal to replace it. It will probably perform just fine for 10+ years considering the car doesn’t need a long range, but mostly just a kick here and there. I suppose even if the battery looses half the range it will still work as intended: turbo mode haha
