SL/R232: Infotainment Reset?

Infotainment Reset?
Has anyone had any experience resetting or at least turning back on the infotainment system? Twice now I’ve had it not come on at all when the car starts. Seems to be related to the proximity sensors going off for an extended period of time say, when you’re backing into your garage and trying to get close to a wall. On start up I get “Parktronic unavailable” as well as other messages on the dash screen, but the main screen won’t come on. No way to control ventilation, radio, etc.
The first time it happened it magically came back on after about an hour, but no joy this time.

This seems like a software issue and could be addressed perhaps by your local dealership with a software update. If you haven't had the latest ones this seems to be a place to start. I don't know any tricks though. There are a number of "gremlins" that clear themselves up after the car is shut down for five or 10 minutes. It seems to give time for the various systems to reset themselves.
