SL/R232: Bashing R232
I have filed a lawsuit in CA against Mercedes for the SL 55 R232 as you've suggested (see back to my previous post with the entire engine on the floor). However since last posting on here I have continued to receive "SOS Inoperative" messages after over six trips to the dealership (a new center entertainment center screen because the other motor crapped out and new telecommunications system) but every time I get the car back the same error message keeps populating and more issues keep arising. Now my driver window takes three attempts to roll up only to hear thud at the end. I also noticed the car coming back dirtier and dirtier with oil stains on passenger mats and even dirt/grass underneath the drivers seat. I then decided to look into the service records and see how much it had been driven over the past drop offs... 14 miles in November visit .. 12 Miles in October visit and 69 miles in another October visit.. they also haven't solved the original problem.
WTF do I do? I feel violated in some sort of way but can is it feasible to sue the dealership directly? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
As for the dealership, a lot of guys get a lot more satisfaction from a good indie shop in the area.

Unfortunately I have already engaged with a lawyer a few months back. They just updated me a few hours ago that Mercedes Benz will be electing to move towards settlement or buying back the car. Any color on their process for taking into account .. total amount paid (down payment + lease payments) and lease quote payoff factor into their buyback program? I believe I have paid about $100K for the car so far and I know the buy back value is probably half of my payoff.. just curious what is realistic to expect on an offer from mercedes. Any advice would be appreciated

They need to differentiate the Purespeed, which is really just cosmetic and lacks differentiation. There is no way the clock will make it to the regular line.
I have the analog clock in the G wagon and never use it, to be honest.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
