SL/R232: MB of Hoffman has 10+ Buyback/Lemon SLs

This is how it worked last time I was buying product imported from China during momos first term. Some distributors just raise their prices and others kept the price the same promising to go back to the old pricing when the tariff would drop. Most distributors wanted that tariff line item to be shown versus people thinking the price just raised.
Importer - pays tariffs on their import bill of lading. Either raises base price or adds in tho the invoice a tariff surcharge.
2nd tier - manufacturer or retail vendor. Pays the importer the cost of the original good plus the tariff in total, regardless of how the total is displayed. This could be a one on one negotiation for each next tier customer dependent on their scale and volume or it could be a blanket company policy.
consumer - pays an increased msrp, or pays the same MSRP with a tariff surcharge.
The original importer is responsible, but sometimes they ask the rest of the supply chain to help with the cost so you might see a shared tariff credit from either the importer or the next tier of distribution.
Buyer Beware.
Buyer Beware.

Info out about the 2027 SL? Might need to call local dealer. Was headed that way Saturday and read about all the buy backs changed my mind. Dealer seems to want to unload the ltd. couple available (2026) but not to fond of the red interior - tired of red. We probably have the same MB dealer as you - neighboring state.
I'm not overly concerned as many of these 2022 models still have factory warranty as many were not delivered until late 2022 or even early 2023. Also, between new batteries and software updates, I think you should be okay...
Remember, other countries like Canada and Europe do not have Lemon Law the way the USA does...so these exact cars exist in places like Canada & Europe and you would never know that they spend more than 30 days at the dealership getting fixed, or you would know by checking the service records but the vehicle would not be "branded" as such and it would have the same value as anywhere else.
just some thoughts for y'all to consider..
