On The Button
‘22 SL63 Convertible operation question:
The center console has a physical button, for convertible operation.
Sometimes, pressing and holding the physical button initiates convertible operation. Other times no.
The times the physical button press and hold doesn’t work, the console screen displays the virtual button, as usual, and operation with that works fine.
The question is, why does the physical button not work all the time?
Are there conditions requiring a procedure to unlock the physical button?

I think sometimes I do it too soon after startup, and all the different computers or systems are still booting up. So now I usually wait about 30-60 seconds or so. It has happened once to me after a couple minutes and I pulled over to get it figured out, but that was a one time thing.
But yes I normally do the double tap on the physical button and it works. When I do it too soon and it stops with the flaps open, I just double tap again to close and then right away double tap to fully open.
