SL/R232: fun roadtrip
had few minor issues but overall the car perform very well
most of the drive was cruising and about 650miles of it I pushed the car almost to its limit.
temperatures were anything between 2F-80F weather was dry, showers, icy and snowing.
soon ill start planning a new roadtrip

What was most enjoyable? Acceleration? Cornering? Smooth cruising? Top down? Engine sound?
It’s the whole package, powerful flexible engine that sounds grate , in comfortable convertible car
The SL is easy to drive; it’s very predictable. The engine has enough power to push the car out of any type of corner, it’s super easy to drift, and it sounds great. It’s very heavy, but I managed to lift off all four tires and had no problem controlling the body when it touched down.
I was familiar with some of the roads, and some I had to repeat several times before I pushed the car hard. The braking system was excellent, and I had no problem even though I used winter tires (in Death Valley and the Three Sisters, it was 74-80°F).
For a convertible, it’s just a magnificent car for cruising.
I had minor issues. One day, the seat heating stopped operating, but it was resolved after a 20-minute coffee break to rest.
I have an annoying rattling noise coming from the front console. It drove me crazy on the drive between Kingman, NV, and Phoenix, AZ (I bet it’s an easy fix).
