2025 CPO AMG SL 43 - problems have started...
I purchased a low mileage 2025 AMG SL 43 CPO hoping to escape problems from earlier model years - the car has been fine for at least the last about 3 months since purchase. The last couple of days a warning has displayed for blind spot detection being inoperative on startup and now this AM along that warning along the check engine symbol is lit after starting. I turned the car off and let it sit for a minute and restarted and the check engine warning still remained - I pulled out of the parking deck where I live and it seemed to drive normally and then at the first stop I reached maybe 1/8 of a mile away from home I saw a warning stating essentially not to shift the transmission that displayed briefly and then went away. I immediately drove home and parked it and walked to the Whole Foods to grab breakfast (I needed the exercise). I will wait perhaps until tonight and start the car up again if the check engine light is lit will call the dealer for an appointment.
Maybe coincidence I did top off with about 5 gallons of 93 octane gas from QuikTrip earlier this week where as I normally get Shell or Chevron 93 octane. If the check engine symbol isn't lit when I start the car tonight or tomorrow morning I will top off the tank w/ more Chevron gas but from I have googled so far the issue maybe sensor/battery voltage related.
