'87 560 SL. High idle and don't know where to begin..
Hi Guys,
I have a newly aquired 560 and the idle is high. At cold start, it runs about 1500 RPM's. After it warms up, it still runs at 1500 RPM's. I am anxious to register this car as it is beautiful! But, I need to correct this problem. Any thoughts on where i should start looing for the problem?

560 sl c107
I had the same problem. Try replacing the idle control unit.
