450sl transmission linkage adjust
Help! My 450sl transmission linkage seems to be in need of adjustment. Lately when in park, turn the key, nothing at all. Jiggle the shifter and try again it starts. Now you might have to jiggle it 10 or 20 times to make it go. How do I adjust the linkage?

Worn Shifter lever bushings, it’s a common problem made out of plastic. They are pressed into the shifter lever on the driver side of the trans. not an easy job, even harder to change with out a lift.
