Question Considering this SL

I've been looking for an 107 body SL for a while now. There is one close by on eBay that caught my eye. It sounds like it was well maintained, and the mileage is low. Curious if there is anything I should look for specifically or be aware of when I go to check it out. May be going this weekend or sooner. The owner said he works for a Mercedes-Benz dealer for 20+ years in service dept and I would be able to look under the car on a lift. I've read through all I can find online, but I'd like to know whats serious and important to look for when I go.

Whats the deal with the cast iron block as opposed to aluminum. I could not find anything specific. I guess that would have been the 380's?

Almost forgot. The car is a 79 450SL Item # 160303299956

The car will be a Christmas present. I want to be sure it's not going to need $$$$ in repairs before my dad takes it out this spring.

Thanks...

I use to have a 1988 560SL. Almost the same car. Great great car. Make sure to look out for AC and see if it works great otherwise it will be costly to fix. Also watch for rust. There are many good ones out there.
