Body-color hub caps...
Hello all,
I've noticed this (and it makes sense): the later the model of the 107 series, the less likely it is to have steel wheels with body-color hub caps. My '74 450SL has these, but I rarely see many newer cars that do not have the alloy mags. Does anyone have comments upon when the steel/hub cap style was phased out in favor of the mags? I would guess that by the late 1970s very few SLs did not have the alloy wheels.
