SL/R107: Lowering a 107 (?)

There is a real shortage of information regarding modifications for the older SL's -- probably because there is a shortage of any kind of aftermarket modification parts -- probably because the demand has just not been there. ![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
I found a source for sport springs, but that's not really what I'm looking for. I finally found a source for the HD Billstein shocks for both front AND back for my 560SL.
I've found that the only intake mod available is a K&N air filter.
What I'd like is information on how to lower this car about 1.5". I plan to research some larger tire/wheel combination than the current 215/65R 15's, but if I have to stick with what I have, I want to lower the car a little. An inch & a half will still give plenty of ground clearance, but I think it will give the car a more aggressive stance. At least that's what I'm looking for.
Finding AMG suspension parts for the 107's is like looking for the Holy Grail. Forget it. Is there a kit for another MB model that I might be able to incorporate for this car? I have to confess that I know little about the process & kits used for the newer models.
I'm posting this here instead of MBCA because I'm sure they would excommunicate me for even suggesting a suspension lowering kit for a 107.
Any suggestions, links to other sites, etc. are appreciated. Some of you are probably thinking "why bother", but this is the MB that I've wanted since I was in my 20's. If I only cared about performance, I'd sell the 560SL and get an SL65 and be done with it...but this is the car for me. If my plans don't work out, then I'll drive it as-is.
Thanks for your time.
